Are you a motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team in a busy Cash Office environment?

The activities which are currently carried out within the Cash Office include the collection and banking of various income (e.g. Pharmacy Invoices, miscellaneous activities and sundry debtors etc.), franking of all external mail and distributing of all wage slips. Cash Office staff are also responsible for dealing with the reimbursement of all petty cash claims for the Trust, including patients travel expenses. All of these duties requires considerable contact with staff at all levels
and the public.

We currently have a full time Cashier role, hours of work are 37.5 hours per week starting at 8.00am - 4.30pm, 5 days per week Monday to Friday.

This role covers all aspects of Cash Office including, the overall security within the Cash Office, supervision of Cash Office Clerks, daily and weekly reconciliation of income, Processing of patient’s cash and valuable, petty cash reimbursement

You will work with and across all of our team to help improve processes and ensure best practice.

The post holders may be required to work at both Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke sites.

Computer experience, excellent communication skills, good telephone manner and previous cash handling is essential.

Responsible for the correct and safe receipt, custody and discharge of patient’s cash and valuables. For patients of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWA FT) and to notify wards of holdings of valuables.
