We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Archivist for this exciting opportunity to join the University’s Special Collections Team. The Project Archivist (University History Collection) will be responsible for cataloguing the University History Collection archives held at the University of Reading, Special Collections, in preparation for the University of Reading’s centenary in 2026.

The Project Archivist (University History Collection) will also undertake digitisation of archives and library material and promote the Collection. Promotion will include creating content for University social media and the Special Collections website in preparation for celebrating the centenary. The Project Archivist (University History Collection) will also undertake research on the University’s history to identify themes for exploration during the centenary year.

The role would suit a newly qualified Archivist. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
