Bakery Assistant

Job Summary:
The Part-Time Bakery assistant is a key player in the daily operations of our Bakery, helping ensure the production of our high-quality baked goods. This role is perfect for someone with a deep passion for baking, an eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence. Initially, the position will require 20 hours per week, with the potential of transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Key responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of bakery items, mainly pies.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Decorate and finish baked goods with glazes, or toppings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area
- Adhere strictly to food safety guidelines and regulations
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Package and prepare products in an attractive manner
- Collaborate with the team on product development and recipe improvement

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a bakery or culinary environment is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food production processes and techniques
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
