**Full-time ACA - Both Kennels & Cattery**

**12 month contract. National Minimum wage**

Full-time ACA role to work on average 5 days per week, to include alternate weekends.

Answerable to Kennel & Cattery Supervisors. Tasks and duties include but are not limited to:

- Clean, disinfect and maintain animal accommodation
- Provide food and clean water suitable to the needs of the individual animals
- Observe animals arriving at the centre identifying any behavioural or welfare needs
- Develop individuals welfare plans
- Provide training and rehabilitation using positive interaction.
- Provide enrichment
- Create a rehoming profile for each individual
- Carry out health checks
- Provide minor treatments
- Carry out regular health & weight checks
- Provide support and assist with the inspection of animals, and/or treatment of animals by a Veterinary Surgeon
- Assist members of public in the adoption / rehoming process
- Support customers in the selection of animals appropriate to their circumstances by providing accurate and relevant information and advice
- Attend events and education sessions
- Record keeping both paper based and electronically
- Provide support, training and direction to branch/centre volunteers and work placement students
- Provide support to all other areas of the centre including reception cover and support to the management team in conducting their duties

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

**Salary**: Up to £10.42 per hour
