**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Caretaker Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Group's properties are maintained to a high standard by carrying out regular cleaning and handyperson activities. You will be responsible for the day-to day management of properties in our organisation with an emphasis on health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. You will be a key point of contact, performing with a high level of customer service and establishing strong rapport with all our stakeholders.

Rota: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00

**ABOUT YOU**

We are looking for a proactivite caretaker with a keen interest in this line of work and what we stand for at Social Interest Group You will ideally hold experience in a similar role or with similar duties. You will be confident working independently, as well as within a team and can communicate effectively with others professionally and with a high level of customer service. We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative to resolve challenges and work within deadlines

**OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Full day to day responsibility of ensuring our properties are adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Duties can include but is not limited to; cleaning buildings and rooms (including end of tenancy deep cleans), preparation of accommodation for new occupants, basic repairs and maintenance, and gardening.
- Schedule appointments and work with internal and external providers to ensure maintenance is carried out to a high standard in a reasonable time.
- Carry out regular property inspections. This can include heating, cooling, lighting, alarms, health and safety.
- Manage the budget and inventory as required including ensuring adequate stock levels, order supplies such as cleaning products, household items, equipment and furniture.
- Minor repairs may include but is not limited to; Minor plastering, lubricating locks and hinges, cleaning shower heads, replacing plugs and chains on sinks, baths, and basins. Fixing loose/replacing broken toilet seats, unblocking sinks, baths, and basins, keeping garden soil and refuse clear of damp courses and air bricks, replacing bathroom cabinets, towel rails, toilet roll holders and mirrors, replacing light bulbs, tubes, diffusers, and shades. Changing domestic fuses, replacement and maintenance of white goods and furniture, bleeding central heating radiators, fitting curtain rails, tidy dryers, washing lines, shelves, and rails.
- Act as a customer service support to the service properties and others as required. Liaise with various services to ensure timely responses and effective service is delivered.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.
