**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
? Write synopses about movies and TV shows in Arabic and Hebrew (and possibly English, depending on skill level). A typical day might include writing a number of synopses a week everything from popular action movies to low-budget indie films.
? Work closely with assignment editors overseeing the workflow to ensure that you’re paired with the right titles and that your copy meets the needs of the writing brief.
? Embody editorial principles to create accurate, inclusive and creative synopses that are nuanced enough to resonate with different audiences.

**Requirements**:
? Full native proficiency in Arabic, and a professional command of speaking and writing in English
? Ability to understand different Arabic dialects, most importantly Egyptian and Gulf
? Ability to watch Arabic content without English subtitles
? Ability to research an Arabic title on Arabic-language websites
? Awareness of the SWANA region's cultural, social and political sensitivities
? Comfortable with occasionally working on Hebrew content (with English subtitles)
? Experience writing or editing articles, blog posts, reviews, or feature stories about film and TV
? Mastery of AP style and attention to detail
? Research skills to help you gather context about titles and quickly synthesize information from a variety of sources
? A selfless approach to contributing to a world-class editorial team
? Eagerness to embrace a culture of candid feedback
