**Hours 40 hours per week**

**Shift Pattern Sunday to Thursday 14.00 - 22.30**

**Job Summary**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the global Lactalis Group. Working within the busy Production department, you will be responsible for monitoring the movement of dairy product from tank to tank and the method of culturing during the process.

**Your Tasks**
- Temperature & pH testing of white base during fermentation process.
- Culturing and monitoring tanks during fermentation and releasing to specification.
- Carry out weekly and monthly stocktake and to fill correspondence data base
- To take in and record culture deliveries and report any temperature deviations.
- Off the line testing (incl. tasting, weight, label & packaging checks).
- Brix testing [by refractometer] of yogurt bases and finished products.
- Working with Intake, Planning, Wrapping and Potting teams to fulfil daily plan effectively and efficiently.
- To follow contingency plans when issues arise with tanks and report to Quality, Supervisors and Manager non-conformances.
- Able to change the plan as and when required and notify departments of the change.
- To be able to CIP all tanks and transfer lines as and when required.
- To cover CIPs when Hygiene team are on holidays or sickness.

**Skills we need**

You will have an eye for detail and be methodical as it is essential that you keep accurate data records. Working under pressure and being able to multi task is required. You will have good all round PC skills. You are required to taste test the dairy product.

Experience of working within a similar role, or food manufacturing facility would be advantageous, although not essential.
