Due to continued growth, our client is looking to employ a personable and motivated **Value Analysis Engineer.** Required to drive VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) projects that strive to perfect the alignment of product performance and customer expectations; in addition to:

- Redesign or upgrade existing products to reduce cost and/or improve performance, whilst maintaining quality.
- To produce detailed engineering CAD data and drawings to a high quality and to the required timescales.
- To participate in Design FMEA and Design for Assembly and Installation studies.
- To optimise manufacturing processes & assist in make/buy decisions.
- To participate in prototype and first-off production builds.
- Detailed analysis of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Redesign or upgrade existing products, systems and components.
- Modify CAD data and drawings in accordance with the company's engineering change procedures.

To be successful in the role of **Value Analysis Engineer**, we would like to speak to anyone who has experience in the following:

- Minimum of HNC / HND in an Engineering / Manufacturing / Technical Design discipline.
- Sound knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods and processes.
- Good understanding of design techniques, drawing packages, symbols, tolerances, factors of safety, etc.
- Knowledge of FMEA methods.
- Experience in the design of mechanical, electrical and electronic system packages.
- Proficient in the use of a recognised 3D CAD design / drawing software package.
- Knowledge of Siemens NX10 an advantage.
- Experience of using a software drawing management package or product data / lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with ERP system data administrator.
