Shunter Driver

Shunter Driver - Nights| Full time | Site Based | Manchester.

**Shift Pattern**: 4 on 4 off

**Hours**: 1800 to 0600

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within EV Cargo and we are recruiting a Shunter Driver - Nights to join our depot in Manchester.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Safe and efficient handling of the vehicle in all respects, including the cleanliness of the vehicle and carrying out daily checks.
- Loading reels of paper and unloading waste paper on site
- Presenting the vehicle for loading when required, in a compliant and roadworthy condition.
- Ensuring load security and stability, adequately restraining loads in line with correct procedures and certified practices.
- Ensuring the security of vehicles and load at all times.
- Perform within set performance targets.
- Accurately complete all paperwork.
- Any other reasonable task as requested by management.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
Qualifications. Level 2 in English & Maths desirable not essential.

Experience. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. HGV Class 1 would also be preferred.

Communication. You will have good communication skills, spoken and written.

Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.
