gap personnel are currently recruiting for x 1 **Electrical Assembler** to work with our client on a permanent basis in Birmingham.
This role is responsible to lay out, assemble electrical components and wire electrical control panels and to line wire products in accordance with electrical drawings and other written and verbal specifications to a high level of accuracy and with mínimal errors according to drawing. The role is responsible for completing all electrical operations in line with all safety measures and for preparing the equipment for readiness for testing with mínimal errors during test.

- £12.50 - £13 per hour
**Key Responsibilities**
- Participate in all electrical assembly work and competency development activities as required.
- Identify, assemble, and dismantle electrical components.
- Construct and wire electrical control panels and machines.
- Use drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes, and specifications.
- Terminate cables, cords, and accessories for low voltage circuits.
**Key Duties**
- Interpret complex electrical diagrams and schematics as required in accordance with customer specification.
- Wiring and cabling electrical panels and equipment according to customer specification.
- Fix components on electrical gear trays in line with tna quality standards and standard operating procedures.
- Fit electrical gear trays, screens and safety switches and other electrical components as required to enclosures and connect all cables. Job Scope - Briefly describe the primary function of the role
- Move equipment once finished in wiring into the test area, complete and ready to test.
- Fit mechanical equipment such as plinths to completed panels.
- Encase electrical circuitry in steel enclosure and fit switches and screens as required.
- Assist with cleaning equipment and making ready to inspect prior to crating.
**Qualifications**
NVQ Level 3 Electrical.
**Work Experience**
- Connects wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, condensers, switches, and solenoids, and installs accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using soldering gun and hand tools.
**Knowledge**
- Able to build entire electrical control panels, including fitting their support structures and electrical componentry, and line wire complex machines and electrical panels following electrical diagrams, drawings and in line with specific customer specifications.
**Attributes**
- 2 -3 years of electrical assembly experience, including panel building and wiring, in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/electrical schematics.
- Experienced using measurement devices such as a tape measure, multi-meters, insulation tester, punches, and others.
- Able to identify proper conduit and conductor sizing.
- Willing and able to work overtime as required.
