**Job Description**:
Senior Construction Project Planner

Working nationwide from Liverpool & Manchester offices.

Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic, ambitious, and hardworking Project Planners with good knowledge of best practice ASTA PowerProject and Primavera P6 software. Additionally, if you can also use Microsoft Project and any analytical software then this is a bonus.

Collaborates with others with the ability to make autonomous decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business objectives. Receives feedback from Senior Leaders and/or demonstrates ability to own large processes with mínimal oversight. Is accountable for the results of the team or the process establishing goals and objectives and adherence to budget and/or meeting deadlines.

Accomplishes work autonomously or on small projects or portions of larger projects within established procedures and practices, with decisions guided by policy, procedure, business plan, and/or a senior supervisor.

Provides leadership for the work group through knowledge in area of specialisation, coordinating work of others. If team manager, balances fee paying work with team management time in a management capacity supervising and training others.

Basic Construction Requirements

+ Knowledge of the build process, including inter-phasing of trades with the ability to identify sequence and/or dependencies of works and estimated durations including any time risk and resources.

+ Understands any access or space requirements and able to identify external interfaces to the logic network. Working experience of interpreting drawings and specifications, together with take-off and calculate Quantities/Tonnages/Volumes would be a benefit.

+ Able to identify any key resources to carry out the work, plant, access, labour, approvals and to identify safety concerns when creating a project plan. Understands the Tender and Contract Documentation Specifications process.

+ Can identify and quantify Risk and Opportunities, identify and quantify procurement lead in issues including risks.

+ Recognises plant requirements together with any temporary works requirements depending on scope of works and contract. Is able to pinpoint safety concerns and measures to eliminate risk/danger/comply with legislation.

Collaboration

+ Understands the benefits of different communication methods and applies the principles.

+ Effectively communicates with the client to ensure their needs are understood.

+ Uses reflecting and summarising techniques to gather the complete picture.

+ Brings together project leads to create collaborative meaningful project plans.

+ Proactively shares the AECOM brand within team communications.

Clients

+ Understands the AECOM client development plan and the relevant market plan and uses this knowledge to develop the client relationship.

+ Seeks best practice from other relevant clients to join the dots for their own client.

+ Promotes the sharing
