**Sensory Play Therapist**

**Make a Difference in the Lives of Children**

As a Play Therapist with Tutors Green, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. You will use your passion for play and your skills in child development to help our students learn and explore new concepts, express their emotions and develop healthy relationships.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Delivering 1:1 Sensory Play Tuition**:

- This job is _**in person**_**:Clapton** **area**:

- Day(s) and Time(s)**:5-10 hours per week (Initially 1 hour per day, Anytime between 12 and 4, Gradually increasing to 2 hours per day)**:

- Develop and implement sensory play activities that are appropriate for the student’s needs.
- Assessing any barriers to student’s learning and working to overcome these.
- Monitoring student progress and producing reports.
- Working collaboratively with parents and carers.
- Regularly reporting updates to the Operations Manager.
- Working to Tutors Green’s standards and code of conduct at all times.
- Ensuring you meet Health & Safety requirements and adhere to the Tutors Green Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. Each tutor has an individual responsibility to safeguard and promote wellbeing of children and young people in their care.

**Qualifications and experience required**:

- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Child Development, Social Work or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with students with SEN.
- Strong knowledge of child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: £35.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (required)
