JOB SPECIFICATION FOR THE ROLE OF: FINANCE ASSISTANT

SALARY: £22,000 (year 1)

**The Company**:
Realm is a successful asset manager and developer of retail property and specialises in Factory Outlet
Shopping Centres such as Clarks Village in Somerset. Realm provides management of shopping centres to its clients who are the owners of such properties and typically pension funds and other large investment firms.

Realm is one of the largest independent asset and property managers of Factory Outlet Shopping Centres in the UK and currently has six centres under direct management. These include London Designer Outlet located adjacent to Wembley Stadium and Resorts World at the Birmingham NEC. Realm also currently manages schemes in Scotland, Doncaster, Hull, Durham and Bath. We employ 65 staff across our centres and at our two head offices - one in Cheshire and the other in Street, Somerset where the finance function is based.

**Overview**:
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with your colleagues, you will be responsible for general administration and accounting duties, initially focusing on supplier invoices and the purchase ledger but as you develop working with others across the team and carrying out other administration and accounting work including cash posting and general ledger work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Processing and entry of supplier invoices into our Property Management and Accounting system.
- Setting up and verifying the details of new suppliers.
- Preparing payment runs ready for approval and submission to the bank.
- Working with other colleagues outside of the finance team to assist with their queries and providing advice where necessary.
- Preparing management reports to summarise expenditure and income against budgets and the previous year.

- Educated to A Level or Btec Level 3
- Methodical and detailed approach to work
- Interest in developing a career in an accounting environment
- Good Excel skills to be able to use Excel to prepare financial reports

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £22,000.00 per year
