**Role Responsibilities**
- Lead the formulation and execution of Climate Risk Management embedding in the Bank, particularly focussed on integration of climate risk with the Group’s Principal Risk Types and other Integrated Risk Types, existing risk systems and/or processes, in line with the Group’s Integrated Risk management approach currently being developed, and its rollout to the impacted Business, Functions and Countries.

**Strategy**
- Support the formulation of Climate Risk Management embedding in the Bank, particularly focussed on integration of climate risk with the Group’s Principal Risk Types and other Integrated Risk Types, existing risk systems and/or processes, in line with the Group’s Integrated Risk management approach currently being developed, and its rollout to the countries.
- Focus on execution while being innovative, ability to take accountability and find ways to be part of the solution even when identifying problems.
- Support continuous training initiatives for both the 1st line and 2nd line to ensure climate risk embedding into BAU risk management.
- Work closely with Process and Risk Framework Owners to implement the Risk & Control Self-Assessment ensuring controls are in place across both first and second line of defence owned processes, particularly climate risk identification, assessment and acceptance. This includes communication and regular updates to senior Operational Risk management as well Enterprise Risk management.
- Responsible for the second line of defence review of the Group’s Climate risk embedding, working closely with colleagues in the Climate Risk team, the Business and Functions.
- Support the climate risk team’s horizon scanning process, maintaining oversight of regulatory development and best practices across the Group and markets.

**Business**
- Broad awareness and understanding of the bank’s business model and risk profile.
- Strong understanding of the bank’s existing operational and enterprise risk management framework, governance of the ERMF related requirements, with an understanding of the climate risk approach by the financial services.

**Processes**
- Contribute to Group-wide Risk, Control Self-Assessment, ERMF effectiveness reviews and regional / country governance oversight with respect to climate risk across all Principal Risk Types.
- Evaluate relevant existing controls and contribute to designing new controls as required

**Risk Management**
- Lead the integration of climate risk across the Group Principal Risk Types and other Integrated Risk Types, in line with the Group integrated risk management approach.
- Support respective POs and RFOs in carrying out effectiveness reviews of climate risk.

**Governance**
- Contribute to overall governance mechanisms (including committee oversight and individual approval authorities) for climate risk management.

**Regulatory & Business Conduct**

- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. - Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
