Kea HR & Recruitment are working in partnership with a company in Sheffield who, due to continuous growth, are looking for a high quality skilled metal fabricator welder to join their team who expertly design, fabricate, manufacture, supply and install high-quality products to some of the biggest names in retail, catering and infrastructure today.

You will be a down to earth individual with the ability to work under pressure. You will have excellent time management skills and have the confidence and interpersonal skills to converse with people at all levels.

The role is based in Sheffield, you may be required to travel to customer sites to support the installation process.

**Main Duties**

As a Fabricator / Welder, you will play a crucial role in the production team, responsible for the fabrication and welding of various architectural metalwork products. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and design specifications to determine work requirements
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines
- Fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring precise measurements and adherence to specifications.
- Operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools.
- Operating power tools and hand tools to cut and shape components
- Assembling metal structures
- Grinding and finishing assembled products
- Conducting quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Collaborating with the wider team to meet project deadlines and resolve any technical issues.
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Continuously improving your skills and staying updated on industry advancements.

**Skills**
- Excellent MIG and TIG welding skills
- At least 5 years experience of working with stainless, aluminium, mild steel and brass between 1mm and 10mm thickness
- Experience of finishing and polishing stainless steel
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- General workshop machinery experience, such as bending, linishing, drilling, ironworking, saw cutting etc
- Ability to set up machines for production runs
- Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication processes
- Basic math skills to measure, layout, and calculate dimensions
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and precisely and work to deadlines efficiently.
- Solid understanding of safety procedures and the ability to work in a safe manor and comply with all HSE requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to work effectively and use own initiative
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Previous experience of MIG and TIG welding

**Hours and Benefits**

Expected hours: 40 per week

Working Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 1pm. Occasional weekend work is available.

Overtime: payable at 1.5 and 2.0 x normal hourly rate.
