**Job Purpose**

As a PDI inspector you will be part of a team who verify that all quality requirements have been met prior to the delivery of Articulated Trucks to dealers and customers. Your primary role will be to ensure that each product is complete to specification and maintain a safe environment. This role also supports our 0-2 months in service (MIS) and PDI defect sort and investigation processes.

**Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:

- Carry out pre delivery inspections (PDI) on finished product in accordance with MQ5000
- Support root cause analysis of operational quality issues associated with product non-conformances
- 6 sigma rapid improvement workshop (RIW) involvement
- NPI support
- Value stream quality support
- Support and carry out lean BIQ (Built in Quality) defect investigations
- Complete 0-2 MIS (Months in service) field defect investigations

**Skills, experiences, and qualifications you must have**:

- Demonstrable manufacturing knowledge within construction and/or heavy goods industries
- Good knowledge of assembly processes
- Sound knowledge of engineering drawings and standards
- Prior product inspection experience
- Keen eye for detail and customer focussed
- Experience of recording product related defects and supporting the resolution of these
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of quality systems including testing and inspection

**Skills, experiences, and qualifications you may have**:

- HNC, HND, or NVQ certification
- Prior involvement with value stream teams and problem-solving activities
- Experience of working on inspection processes (BIQ/IPV/quality gates)
- Experiencing in coaching and development of employees in assembly or inspection functions
- Good observation analytical skills
- Knowledge and/or experience of Lean 6 Sigma tools and techniques
- NEBOSH/IOSH qualification and/or can demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety
