**About the Trust** - Rated ‘Good’ in their most recent CQC report, Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for Bolton, Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Wigan. The Trust also provides a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services for patients from Greater Manchester and beyond. **The Role**:
To provide care and support to service users within the BBST clinical team in line with their recovery care plan under the direction and supervision of the Line Manager/Assistant Practitioner/Registered nursing staff
**What you’ll be responsible for**
- To contribute to the assessment of service users needs
- To contribute to the care planning and review process for individual service users
- To assist with the collection of health screening samples as requested, e.g. urine screening, breathalysing, pregnancy testing under the supervision of the registered nursing staff
- To promote health and well being at all times and support service users to address their physical and mental health needs (e.g. drug & alcohol use, diet, depression, anxiety, relationships, housing, education, training, and employment) in line with their care plan under the direction and supervision of the Line Manager/Senior Practitioner/registered nursing staff on duty
- To contribute to the updating of service users records to inform the assessment, care planning and review process
**You’ll have the following qualification/experience**:
**ILS PMVA BLS can be provided by Trust if necessary** plus induction
- Will be expected to undertake Venepuncture and ECGs under direction of registered staff on duty
- relevant experience essential.
- System knowledge of Paris
- Desirable
- A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years
- Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
- Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
- Undertake regular mandatory training*
