The post holder will support the development and implantation the clinical strategy that aims to reduce restrictive practice (RRP) in Acute Mental Health Services. You will be required to train clinical staff in PMVA techniques and contribute to the reduction of restrictive practices, this will involve the engagement of clinical teams in order to promote and introduce new ways of working that support a more positive and proactive approach to care that helps reduce the need for restrictive practice.

Within the role you will also be expected to work closely with both the Reducing Restrictive Practice Nurse for AMHS and as well as the PMVA Lead in addressing gaps in knowledge and promoting good practice in line with current guidelines.

There is an expectation that you contribute to the delivery of PMVA Training and to the assessment and interventions of patients that are currently experiencing high levels of restriction
