To work with the Purchasing Team, to ensure effective procurement and scheduling of the business’ requirements.
- An understanding of supply chain management.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality.
- Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities and delivery timescales.
- Visiting suppliers to carry out vendor assessment and audit.
- Processing requisitions and updating order originators on the status of orders.
- Coordinating with material controllers.
- Monitoring stock levels and escalating any discrepancies or rejections to suppliers.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office.
- Financial and accounting knowledge.
- Supporting the wider team / business where appropriate.
**Qualifications**:
- CIPS, although not essential as support will be given.
- Training will be provided in line with business and statutory requirements.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.5 per week
