Waiter/waitress

Gradwell Retirement Village based in South Chailey is on the lookout for a waitress/waiter to work on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.

We pride ourselves on providing a comfortable and inviting environment for our residents, where they can enjoy delicious meals and excellent service. As part of our team, you'll contribute to creating a positive dining experience for our residents.

As a waitress, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents enjoy their dining experience by taking orders, serving meals, and providing assistance as needed.

What will you be doing?
- Greet residents warmly and escort them to their tables
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
- Serve meals and beverages in a timely manner
- Ensure residents' needs are met and address any concerns or special requests
- Clear tables and reset them for the next service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen and other staff members to ensure smooth operations
- Minimum 2 years previous experience as a waitress or in a customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus
