Assistant Buyer

**About The Role**:
We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our team for Nutmeg based at our head office in Coalville (Leicestershire). As an Assistant Buyer you will support the buying team in developing, sourcing and buying a specific range of products whilst ensuring the smooth day to day running of the department. You'll also assist in planning, sourcing and delivering a commercial and competitively priced product range.

What will I do as a Assistant Buyer at Nutmeg?
- Developing effective working relationships with both suppliers and internal colleagues
- Build and maintain relationships with the marketing department, visual merchandising and PR teams to help to assist in developing strong and consistent marketing messages, visual merchandising strategies and brand image for the department
- To take ownership of sample management, ensuring all samples are kept tidy and correctly labelled
- You'll ensure a customer focused knowledge of the varying market and trends by regular competitive and own store visits to help in assisting the Buyer to select and deliver a product range that is balanced and reflects customer requirements in terms of pricing and fashionability
- Prepare and manage any reports as requested by the department for meetings

The Nutmeg team focuses on listening to our customers to put the best ranges in stores based on trends, seasonality, store demographic and event calendars, and the merchandising team plays a key role in all of these decision making processes. You will work as part of a dynamic friendly team including Merchandising, Buying and Design to develop and land several ranges a season.
