We at Zachary Daniels have been given the privilege to support a long-standing retailer in Northern Ireland seeking to recruit an Assistant Manager in the Belfast Region. This business is celebrating a big Anniversary this year which shows the loyalty of customersshopping in their stores in the Northern Ireland market. In this business they have long standing employees who have grown from junior levels into General Store Manager positions. The business has heavily invested in their business this year moving into abrand new Head Office in the Greater Belfast region to streamline their delivery of products across the stores in Northern Ireland.
**Duties and Responsibilities of an Assistant Manager;**
- Managing the day to day of stock replenishment, warehouse and POS standards.
- Having a great approach to customer service to assist regulars on their needs in stores across all departments.
- Excellent communication skills to execute the day to day tasks in line with business procedures.
- Be hands on in all aspects of the store; Customer service, stock management, operational standards and commerciality.
- Working closely with the General Manager on Recruitment, induction and staff development as this business prides themselves on internal promotions of employees.
- Maintaining the health and safety standards in store through daily floor walks and taking action.
- Ability to ensure the day to day runs smoothly on the shop floor through; daily planners, communication and been present on the shop floor daily.
- Opening and closing of the store inline with the business processes including cash handling, security and banking.

**What will you need;**
- You will be a current Assistant Manager, Store Manager or Duty Manager working in the retail sector.
- You will have experience working in a high stock environment such as; Grocery, Discount, Homeware or multi product.
- You will have experience managing teams of at 10 plus with turnovers exceeding 2 Million plus.

**Whats on offer;**
- Salary; up to £28,000 based on experience
- 28 days holidays including BH
- Staff discount of 15%
- Pension scheme
- 37.5 hour contract
- Store Opening hours 9-5pm (Closed on Sundays)
