Joinery Cell Leader Refurbishment

We are looking for a Joinery Cell Leader to join our Refurbished team based in York. In this role you will support the Production Team Leader in the daily role to undertake daily briefings, supervising staff, monitoring and organising workflow.

You will be responsible to work on the completion of jobs to the highest possible standards ensuring high standards of compliance with quality, technical specification, customer service and environmental requirements.

**Role Details**
- Hourly Rate: £14.24 per hour plus bonus scheme £2 per hour plus chargehands allowance £0.72 per hour
- Role based: Portakabin Ltd, New Lane, Huntington, York, YO32 9PT
- Contract type: Permanent
- Annual leave: 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays

**Role Responsibilities**
- Support the Production Team Leader by organising workflow for the team, addressing shortages co-ordinating shop floor activity, ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Manage, monitor and control materials in the work area
- Assist with technical issues, writing and managing Risk Assessments, SOP’s and actively support H&S
- Take the lead on continuous improvement activities and initiatives
- Identify and monitor training needs for the team
- Ensure quality is maintained e.eg ISO 9001 & 14001 are adhered to
- The potential to get involved with Manage low level people issues
- Regular 121 meetings with your teamEnsure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines. Company policies and procedures relating to H&S

We are looking for someone who has:

- NVQ Joinery Qualifications
- Experience gained within manufacturing/construction/related industry
- Strong operational experience related to trade/role
- Good skills in planning and organising
- Experience in problem solving and analytical thinking
- Comfortable in making decisions
