Tradewind, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a reputable SEN school based in Chester. This is a fantastic chance to work in a supportive environment where you can help shape the lives of young learners with special needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one or group support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons that cater to individual learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting students' social and emotional development.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to the teacher and implementing strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant experience working with children or young adults with SEN, either in an educational or care setting.
- A genuine passion for helping students with special needs and a commitment to their overall well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience to support students with diverse learning abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to adapt to individual learning styles.

To be considered for this position you will:

- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
- have satisfactory references
- have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
