An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated clerk/receptionist to join our Outpatient Team. The post is based at Morpeth NHS Centre and Blyth Community Hospital.

To provide the day to day operation of a high quality, effective and efficient Reception service.

Receive, assist and direct patients and visitors to the clinic presenting a user-friendly and accessible service to the public.

Dealing with reception and telephone enquiries effectively and efficiently.

Working flexibly within a team, providing support to colleagues and the multidisciplinary team with the flexibility to work and travel between offices as required.

Valid Driving Licence is essential and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role.

Training will be provided as appropriate.

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 2, Clerk/Receptionist's 25-hour post to work in the Outpatients Department. The post holder will be a key member of the administrative team based at Morpeth Health Centre and Blyth Community Hospital.
- Provide an efficient and confidential reception service undertaking telephone and reception duties as appropriate, including dealing with the general public over the telephone and face to face.
- Provide administrative and IT support to all staff in the department.
- Undertake general office administration tasks including filing, photocopying, scanning and processing information.
- Flexibility to work and travel between offices as required.
- Responsible for the opening up and closing of the office when required.
- Ordering stationery to ensure sufficient supplies are available in the department.
- Provide training to new members of staff when required.
- Support clinical staff with waiting area management.
