_**Drivers Mate**_

As a specialist logistics service provider (NOT a multi-drop operation), we are seeking additional self-employed co-driver, to become part of our Two-man teams that cover the South West of England and Wales.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Assist and support the driver to perform and complete the jobs safely and in a timely manner.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner
- Complete daily maintenance checks on delivery van and notify manager of any issues
- Loading and unloading the vehicle, taking account of the delivery order and making sure that items are easily accessible.
- Checking that all of the items are accounted for against delivery sheets.
- Examining the vehicle before setting off, checking the load is safe.
- Telephoning customers or engineers to confirm the delivery times.
- Navigating and advising the driver about diversions.
- Helping unload goods at the delivery point.
- Removing packaging and placing items at the customer's request.
- Obtaining delivery signatures from customers.

**Skills & Requirements**
- Motivated and reliable
- Must be able to handle heavy items with the aid of appropriate equipment
- Attention to details

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00-£10.50 per hour

**Experience**:

- Delivery driver experience: 2 years (preferred)
- Driving: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
