Manufacturing Operative

**Grants of Galston have a vacancy for Factory operative to work at the heart of the business.**

Starting in 1885 in Glasgow, the Grants brothers began their journey, and it continues to flourish in the heart of Burns Country, Ayrshire. Today, Grant's Foods maintains its dedication to crafting top-quality food using fresh produce at its core.

Responsibilities of the job include:

- Working on the production line assisting with the manufacturing of canned foods.
- Weighing and mixing of raw materials.
- Loading raw materials into machinery/equipment.
- "Clean as you go" policy.
- Movement of raw materials about the factory, by hand and hand-pallet trucks.
- Preparing of meat/dry goods.
- Clean downs at the end of the production run.
- This work includes manual handling so a good level of fitness is a requirement.

Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

Raw meat experience is desirable, but training will be provided.

We are a hard-working hands on team, and are looking to build on this.

We have opened up one vacancy on the back shift, 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday.

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- raw meat: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:
