Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Assistant to join an exciting Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based in central Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
**£30,000 - £33,000 plus bonus, study support for CIMA/ACCA and hybrid working**

**Role responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- For the UK operational entities, supporting certain month end activities including but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations, tax reporting, intercompany recharging and management fee calculations
- Ownership of monthly UK balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the UK audit process, providing requested information in a timely manner and supporting with the preparation of UK entity statutory accounts. Ad Hoc support for Group wide audit process as required
- Preparation of VAT returns and supporting with the Corporate Tax return process
- Supporting the financial accountant with cash management and cash forecasting, particularly in relation to the preparation of funding proposals and clearance of intercompany balances
- Supporting the financial accountant on monthly and quarterly debt reporting requirements
- Supporting with the preparation of required statutory filings in relation to entity capital changes and structure changes
- Assisting with the preparation of quarterly technical accounting reporting to external stakeholders
- Preparation of technical accounting papers and process documentation
- Supporting change programmes, efficiency and process improvement initiatives; create efficiencies through continuous improvement of processes and use of systems
- Working closely with the Financial Accountant, you will be required to support business critical ad hoc projects as the group continues to grow
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders with regards to monthly reporting processes
- Providing cover and support to other Financial Reporting team members, and the wider Reporting & Control team, where required. This can include, but is not limited to, supporting group reporting requirements, internal month end reporting requirements, newproperty handover support, and risk & compliance reporting

**Person specification**:

- Currently studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA
- Solid exposure to month end accounting procedures, in particular, balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong system and modelling skills (particularly Excel)
- Dynamic and able to rise to new challenges as they emerge
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build effective working relationships and influence change
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage own workload
- Takes ownership, raising concerns on priorities or approach if required
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
