Hendry Hydraulics LTD are seeking applicants for our Modern Apprenticeship program.

The Mechanical Manufacture Engineering Apprenticeship Program is designed to develop your expertise across a breadth of operational and technical areas of the business. Your plant-based training program is supported by the nationally recognised apprentice framework structure (PEO 2 SVQ/NC Mechanical Manufacture Engineering / SVQ Level 3).

Subsequent years are based at Elgin under a mentorship programme.

Learn how to set, program, and run varied CNC machine tools, ranging from 2 axis lathes, through to complex Machining Centres, using a variety of different programming languages.

Learn in depth the full range of capabilities of CNC machining.

Learn how to bring components from a basic piece of raw material through to a complex finished part, to the highest of standards and tolerances, using techniques ranging from basic traditional methods right through to cutting edge methods, incorporating CAD/CAM, alongside programming parts with no aid.

Learn how to interpret technical drawings, understand machining standards and implement the requirements and translate into production methods.

Manufacture components for some of the key industrial sectors in the world: Agriculture, sanitation, oil and gas.

Learn how to manufacture a part with a tolerance of 0.025mm.

Learn how to use digital touchscreen production software.

Work in a fast paced environment where every day will challenge and encourage continuous improvement.

Help shape the future of a well-established and respected manufacturing company, with a long and proven track record of excellence across the world.

Training rate when attending College will be in line with the national minimum, approximately £13,000 pa.

Hourly rate will increase when working on-site and in years 2 onwards.

College hours are dependent on the timetable set by UHI.

Working hours at the Elgin facility are Monday to Thursday - 07:45 - 16:45, Friday 07:45 - 13:50.

Overtime may be available dependant on production requirements.

The start date for these positions will be late June.

Pay: From £13,000.00 per year

Schedule:
