**The Employer**

Part of an international group the company was founded in the mid 80’s and provide Air Conditioning Solutions from initial survey, and design through installation, commissioning to handover and lifelong maintenance within the data centre, pharmaceuticalproduction and healthcare environments.

**Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements**
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in all aspects of mechanical building services including ventilation, heating, domestic services, air conditioning, chiller
- Experience with NHS HTM specifications would be an advantage
- Understanding of Building Regs requirements and industry standard specifications such as CIBSE, BESA and Water Regulations
- Ability able to size ductwork, heating and domestic pipework, select plant such as pumps, boilers, fans, including calculating pressure drops in ductwork and pipework etc
- Be competent in calculating building heat losses and gains to select air conditioning units using AC Calc software
- Competent in AutoCAD. (Whilst some drawing work will be required, the majority of the drawings will be produced by others)
- Be able to produce technical submissions and compile design specifications for issuing to client.
- The ability to carry out site surveys is essential

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be predominantly office based but visits to site (UK Wide) to carry out surveys and attend meetings will also be required. They will also be required to work alongside the relevant Project Manager from conception to completionand handover.

**Mechanical Design Engineer Remuneration**
- Salary £55-60k
- Car Allowance plus mileage expenses
- Statutory Pension
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
