Sen 1-1

We are looking for an experienced SEN practitioner to work 1:1 in a day nursery setting (times and days to be confirmed) term time only basis to offer support for children with additional needs.

This would suit someone who is experienced working with children, especially in a SEN capacity.

Duties would involve supporting the children during all aspects of play and interacting with peers.

Working with children on the sensory stage, supporting during mealtimes, play times, helping to self-regulate etc.

**Responsibilities**:
Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs

EYFS, EHCP planning for the child you are working with

Utilise learning schemes in order to progress the children learning & development

Build a good repour with parents regarding progress

Liaise with the SENCO/other professionals where required

**Requirements**:
Previous experience working with SEN children

knowledge/awareness SEND CODE OF PRACTICE

A basic understanding of Speech & Language and/or Intervention.

(Desired) Experience using learning schemes such as Makaton / PECs /

Be passionate about working with children that have SEN and be determined to make sure that their learning experience is as comfortable and positive as possible

Be available between the hours selected of the SEN child and flexible if these hours were to change. (to be confirmed)
