An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our new Type 1 Diabetes and Disordered Eating Service. This is an interesting new post which will aim to develop new and innovative ways of improving services by ensuring that everything we do is underpinned by holistic, person-centred and trauma informed approaches.

The post-holder will take a clinical leadership role in the co-ordination and implementation of psychological care and ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist psychological therapies service for patients and their families/carers, with the emphasis on co-production.

**Main duties of the job**:
To ensure the systematic provision of a high quality specialist clinical psychology service to the Type 1 Diabetes and Disordered Eating Service service users.

To advise, supervise and support the assessment and treatment provided by clinical members of the teams who provide psychologically based care and treatment within the T1DE service, as well as delivering treatment itself.

To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team.

To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.

To propose and implement policy changes within the area served by the service
