Apprenticeship summary

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Assisting with recruitment and onboarding**: You will help with job postings, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and processing new employee paperwork.

**2. Updating employee records**: You will be responsible for keeping employee records up-to-date, including changes to personal information, employment status, and payroll data.

**3. Processing payroll**: You will assist with processing payroll by ensuring that employee time and attendance records are accurate and that all necessary deductions and withholdings are made.

**4. Answering employee questions**: You will be the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, and will need to provide accurate information and support.

**5. Assisting with benefits administration**: You will help with benefits enrollment and administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.

**6. Maintaining HR and payroll systems**: You will be responsible for maintaining HR and payroll databases, ensuring that data is accurate and up-to-date.

**7. Assisting with HR projects**: You will assist with various HR projects, such as employee surveys, performance reviews, and other initiatives.

Previous experience of working in an office

Great telephone manner

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to maintain accurate records

Excellent attention to detail

Competent using Microsoft Office packages

including Word, Excel and Outlook

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team

The ability to work with an organised, methodical approach

Basic understanding of HR and payroll policies and procedures

Personal qualities

Takes pride and responsibility in your work

Enthusiasm and willingness to learn

Commitment to confidentiality and data protection

Desired qualifications

Four GCSE or equivalent, level 4 or above
