**Position of Mechanical Fitter**

**Mechanical Fitters Role to include**:

- Carrying out any repairs or maintenance for a varied number of components such as, screening equipment, conveyor systems and some hydraulic & pneumatic equipment to name a few.
- Eliminating preventable plant breakdowns by carrying out routine plant inspections and visual checks in your daily activities.
- Flexibility in your working hours in order to carry out planned work around plant shut downs or undertake emergency repairs where and when these arise.
- Fabrication of an array of steel components within our workshop along with on site.
- Working confidently and effectively with our existing team and onsite personnel. Furthermore you should be a trusted member to work individually in a timely and professional manner.
- Working in a broad range of environments to include but not limited to: all weathers, heights and confined spaces.

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent Position _self-employed or employee basis to be discussed_

**Salary**: £15.00-£18.00 per hour _rates to be discussed based on experience_

**Experience preferred**:

- Maintenance fitter for 2 years minimum
- Knowledge of the Recycling and Scrap Metal industry
- Working with cherry pickers, FLT, 360 Excavators and telehandlers
