**Location Type**:Hybrid - x3 days in the office/x2 days WFH

**Position Overview**:
As a Financial Accountant at King Edward VII Hospital, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial records. Your role will involve financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and maintaining our internal controls, all while contributing to our mission of providing outstanding healthcare services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and hospital policies
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support strategic financial planning
- Manage the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and record journal entries accurately
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and cost-benefit analysis, to support decision-making
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain internal controls

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certification preferred
- 3+ years of financial/Capital accounting experience, with a preference for healthcare experience
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
