Job type: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)

**Salary**: 25,000-30,000 per annum
Requirements: Previous supervisory experience and a full, clean driving licence
We are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager based on the outskirts of Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about customer service and looking for a career progression

Assistant Branch Managers duties:
- Receiving, storing and selling engineering and welding equipment at the branch sales counter.
- Checking customer and company vehicles for suitability to carry industrial gas
- Follow and enforce the company safety, health and environment policy at all times.
- Take and process sales orders from customers.
- Process and record goods in accurately.
- Plan and manage the distribution of goods
- Store and organise warehouse stock and arrange in store merchandise.
- Be responsible for effecting an efficient and satisfactory delivery service to customers.
- Maintain the branch price file, office catalogue library and product literature.
- Promote and actively ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the office, stores and trade counter.
- Goods purchasing.
- Take initiative by informing regular customers of new products or services and price changes.
- Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding products or services.
- Be instrumental in accurate and timely stock counts.
- Answer telephones to provide information and receive orders.
- The above duties may involve having access to information of a confidential nature. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times
In the absence of the Branch Manager:
- Be a key holder and responsible for opening and closing the store.
- Managing daily operations and staff.
- Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the depot in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Monitor the safe keeping of cash on the premises, with regards to cash sales the cash book balances at all times.
As an Assistant Branch Manager, you must have:
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Previous experience of management.
- Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinating the work and activities of others and getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks.
- Able to use your initiative and be proactive in your approach.

- Full training, support and guidance will be given.
- Different level of career development such as branch manager and regional manager.
