Overview

To support the manufacture and supply, on time & in full of deep drawn components in line with customer and regulatory requirements in a safe enviromentally responsible and cost effective manner.

To support operations in delivering a world class performance from the Presspart Blackburn manufacturing operation by providing effective milling support for current & new products that enhance operational safety, quality and delivery whilst minimising cost.

Your key responsibilities:

- Responsible for all aspects of Milling within our modern tool manufacturing facility, by developing techniques / methods to ensure operational quality, cost & efficiency requirements are optimised.
- Ensure that your work area is kept clean tidy and well organised.
- Understand the goals and priorities of the business.
- Actively utilise our H&T Excellence for generating and implementing improvement opportunities across your area.
- Treat people with dignity and respect and build a Team culture.
- It is the responsibility of the post holder to promote health, safety and welfare throughout the company.
- The post holder will attend training courses and learning events as necessary.

Education / Training
- Ideally qualified to HNC level in a mechanical engineering disipline.
- Served a recognised apprenticeship in Milling and CNC Milling, NVQ3 or equivalent.

Knowledge / Experience
- Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship experience prefered
- CNC Milling using a Vertical Machining Centre
- CNC Mazatrol programming essential
- All aspects of manual milling
- Using CAD software for CNC programs would be adventageous
- Working knowledge of health & safety legislation & safety requirements in the workplace
