Part-time Relief Warden
The role of the Relief Warden is to support the residents who require help and support when the resident Warden is not available.
Part of the role is on an as required basis to cover week day annual leave and sickness in addition to covering weekends as part of a rota.
The position demands total confidentiality, and a DBS check is required. In addition, first aid, fire awareness and health and safety training will need to be taken unless the Relief Warden already holds an appropriate up-to-date qualification. Before taking up the duties, there will be a period of training given by the Resident or Relief Warden.
At weekends the relief warden will be responsible for both of our two homes between the hours of 8.30am-11.00am and 6.00pm-7.30pm. The hours of work for week days are 8.00am-11.30am and 6.00pm-7.30pm. Only brief visits will be necessary, but more support may need to be given to the vulnerable residents, where time allows. The relief warden will need to ensure both homes are secure, going on and offsite.
The Relief Warden will keep a daily record on the tick sheets for each resident visited and write up any appropriate notes.
The role is paid £88.00 per shift (including morning and evening) and this is due to be reviewed in April 2024.
