About the role This is a post for an emerging countywide Child Neurodevelopmental Service (Child NDS). This post will support the work of the wider multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of children and young people accessing an autism assessment in Somerset. The post will include clinical and clinical-admin duties. This will include supporting the multidisciplinary team to conduct Autism assessments under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.

This may involve information gathering ahead of and during clients assessments, supporting senior clinicians in assessing children and young people, and offering some assessment under supervision (e.g. cognitive assessment, clinical interview, and observations at home or school). About the team The post holder will have clinical supervision through the Clinical Psychologists in the Children and Young Peoples Neurodevelopmental Partnership (CYPNP). The Trust has excellent working relationships with Exeter University doctoral training programme and there will be opportunities for professional networking with other assistant psychologists, trainee clinical psychologists, psychologists and psychology networks both within the Trust and nationally, and continuous professional development.
