Main Purpose of the Job
To print glass and plastic packaging as directed by the Print Manager.
The work is almost entirely factory based and will vary from day to day in intensity and routine.
Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Holiday: 25 Days plus Bank Holidays (5 days must be taken between Xmas and New Year)
**Responsibilities**:
a. To print at a commercial rate and to a standard required.
b. To bring all matters relating to product quality to Management’s immediate attention.
c. To assist in the smooth running of the production schedule.
d. To assist when requested, the operation of the leer, both in product being placed on the belt, and in the removal and packaging of the product from the belt.
e. To assist the screen maker when required.
f. To keep the general area tidy and is a correct condition.
g. To assist when required, in the factory and warehouse.
h. To keep the kitchen and bathroom area clean and tidy.
i. To give at least 1 months’ notice of intended planned leave to the Print Manager.
j. To carry out all instructions and tasks from by the Print Manager as may be deemed to be reasonable.
k. To be able to use the electric pallet truck and manual pallet trucks competently and safely.
l. To learn through experience how to make and adjust screens.
m. To learn through experience, how to adjust the print tooling.
n. To ensure at all times, that members of the public are kept safe, especially when moving pallets in the vicinity of visitors.
o. To conduct any other roles as required by Management.
This is a small company. Your role is to integrate smoothly with the existing team and actively seek to ease the load currently undertaken by the existing team by shouldering as much of the load as possible.
