Trainee Bookkeeper

**Trainee Bookkeeper - £19-23,000 per annum + fully sponsored study package and benefits**

**Chartered Accountancy Practice - based in Camberley, Surrey**

As a long standing and highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants, we support clients ranging from high net worth individuals to large corporations, now looking for a Trainee Bookkeeper to join our busy management accounts and VAT bureau. Working from our offices in Camberley, reporting to the Department Manager, this is an additional role in the growing bookkeeping team.

**The role:

- Under the direction and supervision of the department manager, you will gain on the job training, alongside a fully funded study package
- Within a bureau of a Chartered Accountancy Practice, you will be responsible for dealing with the affairs of a broad spectrum of client businesses
- Undertaking monthly/quarterly management accounts
- Bookkeeping up to trial balance and underlying control account reconciliations (enabling direct flow into monthly management accounts and end of year accounts prepared by the firm)
- Preparation of VAT calculations and VAT returns
- This is a full time position, office based with occasional travel to client premises

**About You:

- **
- A confident individual with a good head for numbers (GSCE / A Levels in Maths)
- Currently seeking a role in accounting, wishing to study for accounts qualifications e.g. AAT
- A genuine interest, or previous experience of accountancy and bookkeeping
- Competent user of MSOffice, confident in leaning accounting software
- Works well with deadlines in a methodical and conscientious way
- Excellent communication skills, confident with client facing responsibilities
- Self motivated and positive approach to work
- Customer and team focussed
- Driving licence and comfortable with (at first accompanied) client site visits
