Crane Supervisor (Scotland)

Ainscough Crane Hire are looking for an experienced Crane Supervisor to join their successful team, in the Scotland. Based from a central depot you will support the region with contract lift projects.

In your role you will
- Be responsible for attaching and detaching the load.
- Work to manufacturer's instructions at all times.
- Establish weights and the effect of the centre of gravity, balance loads and judge distances and clearances.
- Select the appropriate lifting accessories and check that they are in a suitable condition.
- Initiate safe movement of the crane and load using the designated signalling method.
- Liaise with Project Manager upon arrival on site.
- Be able to resist pressures from other persons to carry out unsafe operations.
- Be aware of the effects of wind and other climatic effects on the crane and load.
- Be able to take the action to avoid dangerous situations, including stopping operations.
- Operate fire suppressant equipment, if fitted.
