**The role**

Working in close support to the CSO, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our innovative research and development teams from a food safety perspective, to ensure that our process is fit for food production, and all relevant documentation is in place to facilitate dossier submission.

This role is predominantly based in our state-of-the-art facility in Cambridge, but we are open to hybrid working options.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Working with the Health and Safety, Quality and Technical Leads, you will ensure compliance throughout the company, including bringing the teams up to date on food safety requirements (HACCP training offered)
- Collaborate with all teams to ensure all processes align with required standards, and together with the Quality team oversee HACCP portfolios.
- Writing risk assessments and other supporting documents for the regulatory portfolio including ensuring all raw material documents are identified and archived appropriately
- Monitor industry trends and collaborate with key stakeholders, including our Regulatory Consultant, helping senior management establish and nurture external relationships with regulatory authorities.
- Assisting in managing and contributing to other team projects as needed.

**What we think you need**:

- Degree in food or life sciences, coupled with significant working experience with some administrative involvement (e.g. document writing, data collection)
- Strong interest in regulatory affairs preferably with a working knowledge of regulations and regulatory processes.
- Understanding of relevant policies and guidance (e.g., Food Safety, Laboratory Safety, HACCP)
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

**We’d love it if you also have**:

- Previous experience in contributing to regulatory submissions
- Familiarity with Novel Food Regulations and cellular agriculture.
- Familiarity with medical devices or therapeutics regulations, if not from a food regulation background
- A PhD
- Familiarity working within a quality system.
- Basic understanding of cell biologics/cell therapeutics.
