What you will be doing?:
The Family Worker Coordinator supports the implementation of the strategy across the organisation guiding Service Managers and Connections Family Workers to deliver their role within each service. The responsibilities of this role will include:

- Working with the Service Manager and Connections Coordinator to deliver the designated level of family support within an individual service
- Achieve the targets identified in the Family Work Strategy and share data on a monthly basis with your Service Manager, Connections Coordinator and other relevant departments as required.
- Support the development of the Connections service by facilitating regular opportunities for feedback to be obtained from both Service Users and CSOs.
- Work with the Connections Coordinator as requested to review the current range of interventions on offer, identifying any gaps/ opportunities for new ways of working.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with both community and prison based agencies, and attend community and prison based meetings as and when required
- Build strong relationships with, and make full use of the support offered by the Connections Coordinator and Head Office functions

What we are looking for?:

- Experience of providing support to families and providing help for family-related issues that may affect clients in prison and community services
- A positive problem-solving approach with the ability to focus on key issues quickly and clearly
- An understanding of a range of treatment approaches in the field of substance misuse, including the 12 step model.
- A thorough understanding of Service User led support groups and their role in maintaining ongoing recovery
- Possession of a Recognised Counselling Qualification, or ongoing attendance on a Recognised counselling course
