General Foreman

We are looking for a General Foreman with earthworks experience to take responsibility for overseeing the subcontract and self-delivery elements of all site works on the A417 Missing Link Road in Gloucester.

**Location**: Gloucester - site based role

**Contract**: Permanent Fulltime

**Salary**: £50k - £55k + company car + private healthcare + benefits

**Responsibilities**

As a General Foreman, you'll be Implementing safe systems of work for site activities, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and welfare are maintained.

Your day to day will include:

- Deliver work packages to agreed programmes and liaise with operational delivery teams
- Attend regular meetings to ensure clear communication channels are in place, to report on progress; identify problems and any keep records of any variations to the scope of works both internally and externally
- Ensure project risks are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures through the construction period
- Oversee the co-ordination of operatives, subcontractors and suppliers in your section of works in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs

**What are we looking for?**

This role of General Foreman is great if you have:

- Experience in a similar role within the highways sector
- CSCS card holder
- SMSTS
