**This full-time role will be based in Luton, and will be an average of fourteen shifts per 28 days, the shifts will be 12 hours shifts, comprised of dayshifts and night shifts.**

**TEAM**

As part of the Network Control team, and the wider Integrated Control Centre, the Operations Officer role works on a 24/7 basis and reports to the Senior Operations Officer on duty. The Operations Officer liaises primarily with maintenance, ground handling, flight crew, and other ICC teams to provide the best possible service to our customers, keeping information flowing, timely communication is the key and proactively managing a fleet of aircraft to keep delays and disruption to a minimum.

Network Control is comprised of a highly dedicated & experienced team with the purpose of ensuring safety, compliance and providing the customer with the highest possible quality of service. We are currently a team of 28 Officers, comprising of 5 teams each being run by one Senior Operations Officer. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team of Operations Officers to manage a fleet of aircraft across all our AOC's to ensure safety, cost and on time performance.

**JOB PURPOSE**
**>** Carry out the function of Flight Watch and proactively swapping aircraft to reduce disruption and delays, and maintain On Time Performance.
**> **Working closely with the Crewing, Customer and Maintenance teams to deliver a safe and efficient operation of the flying program, and ensuring all changes are communicated effectively and timely to all stakeholders.
**> **Using third party tools and contracts to proactively monitor the weather across the easyJet network, and create and agree mitigating plans were appropriate.
**> **ACARS System monitoring, maintaining timely communications with the flight crew, taking action on any high priority requests, disseminating information to the correct stakeholders.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
**> **Working closely with colleagues within Network Control and the wider Integrated Control Centre to ensure that easyJet delivers the highest possible service levels for its passengers
**> **Ensure that all measures are taken to minimise disruption, at all times, taking into account passenger welfare, cost optimisation and limitation of knock-on network effects
**> **Take all necessary steps to ensure a safe and punctual operation in accordance with the Operational Manual (OM/A) and operating procedures on a cost efficient basis
**> **Proactively manage and maintain a Flight Watch of a fleet of aircraft using TOPS / AIMS systems, and make changes to the programme to minimise disruption
**> **Monitor weather and make changes if necessary to the fleet of aircraft if required to minimise disruption
**> **Have a proactive approach to disruption management and anticipate events that may impact upon operational integrity and to take such steps as might be necessary to mitigate disruption to the flying program
**> **Ensure that the usage of standby aircraft and crew is optimised to gain the best possible value
**> **To work closely with Senior Operations Officer and Network Duty Manager to implement effective and efficient strategies in times of Disruption to the flying programme
**> **Liaise with Maintenance Control with regard to maintenance planning to maximise aircraft availability and to minimise operational impact
**> **To ensure that vital lines of communication are maintained with all Network Control’s internal and external agencies and service providers
**> **To monitor and promulgate information received by ACARS, E-Mail, SITA, MET Office Weather System and telephone.(others as required)
**> **To oversee, optimise and manage easyJet’s Runway Slot protocols and compliance with slot and curfew requirements, thus minimising exposure to fines and legal proceedings
**> **Ensure any / all information pertaining to an operational event is collated and appropriately recorded
**> **Fulfil the duties required of the Operations Officer during emergency situations (exercise or actual)
**> **Working in a professional manner and that all tasks are completed to the highest of standards
**> **Any other duties as directed by the Senior Operations Officer, or member of the Management Team
