Chartered Engineering Manager - Oil & Gas

Are you a Chartered Engineer with experience in an Engineering or Technical Management position gained across process plant such as in the Oil & Gas, Waste, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Power or Chemicals sectors?

This company operates a large portfolio of Nuclear, Wind, Coal and Gas Power assets spread across the UK, Europe and the USA. They are the largest single producer of Renewable Energy in the UK, and supply millions of customers spread across the UK.
In this role you will be responsible for all Engineering activities at one of the company's key Gas sites in the UK covering things such as maintenance, engineering projects, HSE compliance, personnel development and contractor management. You will be liaisingclosely with the Plant Manager and having both an Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager reporting into you, as well as their respective teams.

The role:

- Overseeing all site Engineering activities (maintenance, shutdowns, projects, RCA etc.)
- Overseeing direct reports including Operations and Maintenance Managers, and respective teams
- Maintaining site COMAH safety reports
- Providing engineering support and solutions to improve long-term site reliability and profitability
- Promoting positive HSE culture on site & excellent standards through personnel development
- Approving, managing and reviewing contractor works
The person:

- Charted Engineer or in final stages of achieving Chartership
- 5+ years' experience in Engineering or Technical Management
- Demonstrable experience in process plant/rotating equipment e.g Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Chemicals
- Excellent understanding of HSE regulations & experience overseeing strong adherence to rules
- Previous experience with contractor management
- Previous experience gained at COMAH sites (highly advantageous)
- Full UK driving license
