Description

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**:
To provide comprehensive support to the Occupational Health Unit (OHU) Manger within HR & OD on a wide range of confidential and business critical issues and projects. Liaising and communicating with all internal staff and managers, including schools andexternal organisations in relation to the work of the OHU including suppliers and those that the OHU supplies services to

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- In depth knowledge of the services provided by the OHU and the ability to create effective working relationships and channels of communication with internal and external business partners and stakeholders.
- Understanding of the structure and practices of the Council and ability to work flexibly to provide consistent confidential administrative support to the Occupational Health Manager.
- A high level of administrative and organisational support is needed to deliver the OH Service to internal and external organisations including responsibility for the paying of consultants and invoicing for work delivered.
- Responsibility for management and organisation of OH administration including providing reception for customers, directing and updating OH staff on administration systems.
- To administer, monitor and maintain departmental budgets, collating reports and projections for spending as required.
- Use Councils finance systems to generate orders, pay invoices and report on expenditure.

Specific other duties:

- Pre-employments to be put on a data base.
- New referrals to be put on a database.
- Photocopying needs to go on files.
- New files need to be made up for new cases.
- Pre-employments to be taken off a system and provided to other occupational health colleagues for action.
