**Personal Assistant / Support worker** required to support and enhance the life of a 31 year old man living in Lanark, in a purpose built annex within his family home, allowing him to be independent but also involved in all aspects of family life.

As a full time wheelchair user, 1-1 support is required for all aspects of his daily life. He requires an individual to support him within his home with tasks such as personal care and in the community for social activities. He is a fun loving individual who lives life to the full, socialising with his friends and eating out. He is non verbal hence it is vital that a personal assistant will be his ‘voice’ and always have his best interests at heart.

**About You**

**_Essential Requirements_**
- Ability to work individually but also as part of a small team
- Flexible with hours when required
- Have the ability to adapt
- Strong communication skills
- Energetic and committed
- **-The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.**_

**-Full UK Driving Licence**

**_Desirable Requirements_**
- Previous experience within the care industry

**Recruiting for a full time position**

**35 hours per week**

**Rate of Pay**: **£12.50 per** **hour**

**Days and Times**: Shifts available on a rota covering 7 days per week between the hours of 8:30AM - 9:30PM (weekdays) and 9:30AM - 9:30PM (weekends) - to be discussed at interview

Occasional sleep overs (overnight shifts) may be offered as overtime in the future
