**Responsibilities**:
The primary responsibilities of the Junior Application Software Design Engineerare to:

- Support full life-cycle software development from requirements analysis through development, integration and testing
- Work closely with product owners to understand and refine high level system requirements into deliverable software
- Collaborate with other disciplines to define system level interfaces and responsibilities
- Estimate project timescales based on high level requirements and delivers to schedule
- Support development of high quality, maintainable and flexible solutions with the capability to evolve along with the market requirements
- Act as a technical advisor to all users, with support
- Discuss with users to analyse the user experience and feedback
- Determine project constraints such as estimated time and costs
- Collaborate with all departments
- Maintain good client/user relationships

**Knowledge and Skills required**:

- Front end development experience in at least one of JavaScript/PHP/HTML
- MS Word/MS PowerPoint
- Able to work closely and communicate effectively with others in a multi-discipline team
- Comfortable working in an agile development environment where effective team communication is essential and change is embraced
- Strong logical and analytical skills
- Able to decompose complex problems into smaller, more manageable units and estimate the timescales involved
- Proven ability to respond to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Must be a British Citizen. Security Vetting required.

**Knowledge and Skills - Desirable**:

- MySQL or MS (Transact) SQL
- CSS
- Debian
- Adobe software such as Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign
- 3D experience - Modelling, Texturing
- Analysis and research skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work well with others, as well as independently
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a small business environment
